News from Rising Sun #39, F&AM

 

From the East:

 

I would like to express my appreciation to the Brothers who assisted with the distribution of the 30 plus turkeys to the Tolles Street Mission and the Nashua

Children’s Home this year.  The need was much more than anticipated and both Organizations couldn’t express their gratitude enough.  Tolles Street Mission informed us that they alone had over 200 reservations for Thanksgiving and the list was growing each day. 

 

As one can readily see, December is a very busy month and I direct your attention to the 5th, which is a special day, ESPECIALLY for the youngsters who are looking forward to seeing SANTA CLAUS.  The JW Bro. Steven Bahsler informs me that Santa is looking forward to this event, as it is most enjoyable.  The festivities begin at 2:00 PM and fun will be had by all, YES even the adults.  I look forward to seeing you there on the 4th Floor of the Temple.

 

As we prepare to enter this festive Holiday Season, may we all remember the true purpose that it represents.   Regardless of one’s faith or belief we should stop and reflect upon the friendships we have all enjoyed and be thankful for the freedoms that come our way.  Let us reflect upon the past year and endeavor to make commitments to improve our relationships with our Brothers.  None of us are perfect and fall short many times before the GAOTU.  I encourage you to lean on him in times of need that you may grow and share that faith and love with all who you come into contact with.   During this glorious season do good unto all that the same may be returned unto you.

The next breakfast will take place on Sunday, December 20th from 7:30 to 10:00 AM.  Please plan to attend as this is the BEST $7.00 breakfast deal in Nashua and benefits the Rainbow pledge Girls.  The girls meet the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month and would love to have you present.
