News from Rising Sun Lodge #39, F& AM

From the East

It was wonderful to see such a large turn-out for our Stated Meeting in February. I would like to see that trend continue at all of our meetings especially for our degree work The support that you have given shows that we are a viable Lodge and if you could continue that support when we do initiate new candidates into our Fraternity that would be awesome. It’s always better to see the side lines full than being empty when doing the degrees. We have a positive trend going with the membership with the reading of four new petitions; this brings us up to 26 new E.A.’s. As you can attest, we will be busy trying to get all these candidates to receive their Master Mason Degree. If you are getting tired of the same old routine why not give us a try. Come to Lodge, support your Lodge and its Officers make some new friends and renew old acquaintances and especially come and welcome and show your support for our new candidates.

Fraternally Yours,

Dennis Webster, W.M.

From The Desk of the Secretary

This is a reminder that Dues are now past due. If you have not submitted your dues for year 2008 to the Lodge, please do so. Now would be a good time to do that while it is still fresh on your mind. If you have any problems please contact the Secretary or the Worshipful Master.

Nova Scotia Trip

If you are planning on traveling to Nova Scotia in May, we have a form for you to fill out and return to the Secretary with a deposit so that we can get an idea as to who’s going and who is willing to car pool. This information should be submitted no later than our Stated Meeting In April. Thank You for your cooperation.

Fishing Trip

It may be early to think about this but we are planning our annual Fishing Trip to take place on August 9, 2008. This will be an all day affair and will be with a different fishing boat than the one we had last year. It will be with Captains Fishing Fleet out of Newburyport. The cost of $75 to $80 will cover the boat and bus trip.  This is open to all Masons, their family and or friends. Tickets will be available upon request. If interested, please make your wishes know as soon as possible either to Bro. Guy Martineau or any of the Officers of the Lodge.

The Rainbow All-You-Can-Eat Public Breakfast will take place on Sunday March 16th from 7:30 to 10:30. Please plan to attend as this is the BEST $6.00 breakfast deal in Nashua, and benefits go to help support the Rainbow.
